Est\u00e1 a sua realidade que \u00e9 o que importa.<br \/>\nTemos que admitir, portanto, com a B\u00edblia, a exist\u00eancia desse lugar de purifica\u00e7\u00e3o que Deus em sua Sabedoria e Bondade infinitas, criou para conciliar as exig\u00eancias da sua justi\u00e7a divina com as da sua miseric\u00f3rdia. Est\u00e3o, pois, em erro os que s\u00f3 admitem a exist\u00eancia do C\u00e9u e do Inferno, e por isso n\u00e3o rezam pelos mortos. S\u00e3o os falsos crentes. Podemos e devemos, pois, fazer ora\u00e7\u00f5es e oferecer sacrif\u00edcios pelos mortos em geral. Devemos rezar por todas as almas, porque n\u00e3o sabemos com certeza, quais estejam realmente precisando, e em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de receber o m\u00e9rito impetrat\u00f3rio das nossas ora\u00e7\u00f5es e sacrif\u00edcios oferecidos a Deus por elas. Em qualquer hip\u00f3tese, estas ora\u00e7\u00f5es e sacrif\u00edcios, n\u00e3o ficar\u00e3o sem efeito.
